Hornbill Public Art, Nagaland's first International Public Art Festival as part of the annual Hornbill Festival to be held from 1st to 7th December 2011 at the Kisama heritage village & Kohima, Nagaland.
This ambitious project is an initiative by the Shelter Promotion Council (India), who were responsible for Sikkim's first International Public Art Festival held earlier this year in Gantok called Blooming Sikkim 2011.
The Art Festival is being supported by Lalit Kala Akademi Regional Centre ,Kolkata , Swiss Art Council: ProHelvetia, and other government agencies, Nagaland. Sayantan Maitra is the Curator & Artistic Director for this public art festival. Theja Meru who is a musician and an entrepreneur based in Kohima, is the main Organiser & Event Manager being ably supported by Rattle and Hum Music Society Nagaland.
